Based in Hong
Kong, Zindart started trading in 1978, moving to its first Manufacturing
Facility in 1982 and to its present site in 1996. Previously part of a Nasdaq
listed company, the company is now under mainly British ownership, having been
purchased from the listed group in Dec 2006.
In addition to
its existing 'Core Blue Chip' customer base, Zindart is keen to work directly
with European and US based manufacturers and suppliers, "simplifying" the
complexities of dealing with an off-shore manufacturing base and avoiding
costly and unnecessary agents, offering their expertise to companies looking

Zindart is a
fully compliant manufacturer being ICTI certificated for over 4 years, but also

main Hallmark supplier for these products.

Along side
its existing conventional conveyor type assembly the company has now committed
to a program of Lean Manufacture and
has already installed and created new workshops using Cell Type Assembly and
Packing massively reducing the demand on Labour and Resources, ultimately
reducing cost, please refer to the images for more information on this
technique.

A recent Kaizen
workshop and subsequent 'fine tuning' by our newly formed Lean Manufacture
department resulted in a 60% increase in productivity for the assembly and pack
of a Mattel very high detail collectible item.

Briefly
mentioned above the company is fully committed to a program of constant
improvement and productivity this program is on going and will be an integral
part of our operation. The program encompasses ALL departments, but of course concentrating on Planning and
Production Operations. Already we have some very encouraging developments in
our production operations:
o
Die-casting, 8 machines now converted for fully automatic
operation reducing labour by at least 50%
o
Tampo Printing, 3 Turntable machines now converted to
'Auto Turn' operation allowing multi colour printing of both sides of
components in one machine cycle, reducing labour by at least 30%.
o
Single Cell Assembly Workstations, at least 20 new single cell workstations
allowing full 'SIMO' Assembly of
more simple products by one operator, increasing productivity by at least 50%
compared to conventional conveyor assembly.
o
U Shaped Cell Workshop, new U Shaped cell workshop allowing high
productivity for quality high detail or high content product, this has
increased productivity by at least 50%.
